In a unique collaboration with Jægersborg Library and local educators, Laplandar has been transformed into a mobile cultural platform for children. Designed and built by a cabinetmaker, the custom box functions as a rolling library, a puppet theatre, and a base for outdoor learning – all in one electric cargo bike.

Whether navigating woodland paths, stopping at shelters, or visiting kindergardens, the Laplandar allows librarians and pedagogues to transport heavy books and creative equipment safely and effortlessly. With secure compartments, fold-out features, and full electric drive, it’s a functional and inspiring tool for learning, social interaction and storytelling.

From book readings under the open sky to mobile performances in public parks, Gentofte’s Laplandar proves how flexible and safe electric cargo bikes can support education, imagination and mobility – even for the youngest audiences.
