Electric Cargo Bikes for Deliveries and Waste Handling

At Kronborg Castle in Helsingør, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Laplandar bikes are now part of the daily internal logistics.

To reduce motorised traffic within the historic grounds, the operations team at Kronborg uses Laplandar electric cargo bikes for two core tasks: collecting waste and transporting deliveries around the site.

The electric drive and compact design make the bikes ideal for navigating gravel roads and narrow passageways, while the large cargo area and 250 kg payload capacity allow for efficient handling of daily transport needs — silently and without emissions.

“We use the cargo bike every day to move packages and collect waste. It’s efficient, quiet, and practical.”
– Groundskeeper, Kronborg Castle

“It allows us to do our job without disturbing guests — and we avoid using motorised vehicles inside the historic area.”
– Site Operations Manager

Waste Transport & Bin Handling

Laplandar is used for collecting and moving large waste bins around the castle grounds. With its custom ramp system and high load capacity, even heavy bins can be rolled directly onto the flatbed for secure and stable transport.

Navigating Narrow Passageways

Historic sites like Kronborg feature cobbled roads, tunnels and tight access routes. The compact Laplandar bike glides through spaces too narrow for vans – making it ideal for daily operations behind the scenes, even where tourists walk.
